I'm LaVerne Collins...

and I help counselors become multicultural and diversity trainers in mental health so they can breathe new life into their careers, have the freedom to reduce their clinical hours, and boost their income.

Counselors are well-trained and well-equipped, but too often overworked and underpaid.

I have been a professional counselor for over 25 years. More recently, I frequently hear great counselors speak about having less satisfaction with their workload and the limited income of direct clinical service provision.

I hear them looking for ways to use what they know in order to diversify and increase their revenue, but they feel stuck because they don’t know how to turn that desire into strategy.

I had the same desire and I found something I am passionate about, with remarkable success as an income-generator.

With a deep enthusiasm for culturally-responsive care in mental health, I began creating vibrant, relevant, and engaging CE workshops for counselors on topics related to race, faith, culture, and trauma.    

It broadened my impact, increased my income, and reduced my clinical hours so I could put more free time back into my life!  

Now, I am committed to creating a movement of diversity-informed counselors who are changing the world as they create and present engaging trainings and events.

These are counselors like me who want to see the face of counseling and continuing education represent more diversity and greater multicultural sensitivity.

They want ALL counseling clients to receive culturally sensitive, clinically-sound care from clinicians who are prepared for that task. And these are counselors who also want to improve their own quality of life.  

So, I am offering the benefit of my experience and expertise. I am helping counselors command a premium rate for their knowledge, make a meaningful impact as a specialist in diversity mental health training, and free up time to enjoy the quality of life they desire.
